Advent begins this year on November 29, and the annual Professor Carol Advent Calendar will once again fill the season with Carol’s daily reflections on art, culture, and traditions.

The Advent Calendar has become for us such a mainstay of the season that I frankly lost track of when it began. Thumbing back through the files, I discovered that we began in 2010. So this represents our 11th year.

We know it has become a regular part of Advent for some of you who have been with us over the years. If you are new to this series, we hope that it will help you prepare for Christmas in a less stressful and more meaningful way.

You may, of course, opt out of the daily delivery at any point if you wish. You can still read the daily entries on our web site and continue receiving the Weekly Digest when it resumes in January. Just click this unsubscribe link if you do not want to receive the daily emails in Advent.
