Opera Boot Camp Video

Last Monday night, Professor Carol presented another edition of her notorious Opera Boot Camp. I say notorious because she has offered Opera Boot Camp for several years to a variety of audiences: school kids of various ages, opera administrators, and cruise ship passengers to name a few. I say another edition because she always tailors it to the audience and it never comes out the same.

For those of you who missed the live session (and for those at the live session who want to relive the fun), here is the recorded version of the webinar. Carol makes reference to the opening Toccata of Monteverdi’s Orfeo, which you can view here (starts at 0:44).

Opera Boot Camp will become the introduction to our new course on opera, although as we add materials this particular webinar may be edited significantly or replaced.

  1. Thank you for posting this. I missed the original broadcast.
I can definitely say that I’ve learned a LOT about Opera during the Quarantine . . . thanks to you. :-)

  2. Dear Professor Carol and
    Professor Hank,
    Hello!
Hope that all is well with all at Silver Age Music!

    Blessings to all!

  3. good to see you again…hope it will be in Dallas sometime….great presentation….sorry to learn that the Dallas Opera has cancelled its fall season and aren’t sure about the new year. Just waiting to hear that TDO will likely be doing the same….just as I have renewed my membership in both!!
Hangin’ in and hope all is well with you and yours.
