About the author. M. Fletcher “Hank” Reynolds, is a music theorist and lawyer. He earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Music Theory at the University of Kansas. He is also an attorney who spent much of his professional career practicing law with a specialization in intellectual property and legal cases involving music. In addition to his contributions to Professor Carol’s courses, he writes a weekly Friday Performance Picks on this site.
