With the Advent Calendar and the holidays behind us, we resume a more normal webinar schedule. We hope you will join us for these January events:

opera Getting to Known Mozart’s The Magic Flute

Our grandkids love this famous Singspiel opera by Mozart. A Singspiel includes both singing and spoken dialogue and often features magic, fantastic creatures, and comically exaggerated characterizations of good and evil. The Magic Flute includes all that and is sure to be a hit with children as well as adults.

A Sprint Through the Baroque

Our next “Sprint through History” looks at the Baroque Era, from Monteverdi to Bach, 150 years in one hour. The Baroque Era (roughly 1600 to 1750) includes some of the most sophisticated and most popular music ever written. Come learn why the music of this era is so satisfying.

Another in our series of Hymn Workshops. From folk melodies collected in the 17th century, to Amazing Grace, to the Wesley brothers and compositions by Holst and Vaughan Williams, the English hymns include some of the best known and best loved in many denominations: Amazing Grace, For All the Saints, In the Bleak Midwinter, O For a Thousand Tongues To Sing, and so many more.
