Tuesday, October 27 at 8 pm EDT. Continuing our series of Hymn Workshops, we turn to the chorales of the late Baroque, looking particularly at the Lutheran chorales of J.S. Bach that from the basis of his Cantatas, Passions, and other major works. More information and registration.

A Night at the Opera: Monteverdi’s L’Orfeo

monteverdiThursday, November 3 at 8 pm EST. The first opera and the work that arguably begins the Baroque era tells the classical tale of Orpheus descending to the underworld to rescue his bride Eurydice. More information and registration.
