We are happy to announce something new for our members of the Circle of Scholars: the first meeting of our Music Club.

Music clubs were once as popular as book clubs. If it sounds a bit old-fashioned, remember there are reasons why people did these things in the past! Of course, they combined not only discussions of music, but performances, lovely refreshments, and often the newest fashionable hats and bowties and collars.

Well, we are going to bring the tradition back. We aren’t requiring hats or ties, plus I’m not sure how to cater the tea and sweets through Zoom. But the rest we can do.

For our first Music Club meeting, let’s take up this theme:  Three Sides of Chopin: Heroic, Passionate, and Ethereal.
