The WTC Online Conference

Redstone School

How is this little red schoolhouse related to online learning? You can find out by joining me for my series of online presentations with Susan Wise Bauer’s Well-Trained-Mind Online Conference. I’m kicking the conference off tomorrow, April 30, at 11 a.m. EDT.

I will be doing two more presentations at the same time in succeeding weeks (May 7 and May 14).

The Redstone School in Sudbury, Massachusetts (pictured above) has quite a history. One day Mary’s little lamb followed her into this school. The story was preserved in artistic form, as much history is. And that really is the point that I will be exploring in these presentations — how the arts preserve our history and bring that history to life in the most interesting ways.

We start tomorrow with “The Future Demands It: Restoring the Arts to Your Child’s Education.” Next week is “Why Do the Arts Matter in Western Culture?” In the final session we explore “Bringing American History Alive with the Fine Arts.”

You will find lots of other presentations by prominent educators in the online conference, so look through the entire list of offerings and reserve your place.
